I have enjoyed a successful private practice for over 15 years: initially in the east end of London, where I also worked as a counsellor for the London Ambulance Service, a counsellor and clinical assessor or mental health charity, City and Hackney Mind and as a psychotherapist for refugee organisations, Freedom from Torture and the Mapesbury Clinic for People in Exile. I spent nine years in private practice in Brisbane, Australia, before returning to the UK and settling just outside Bath at the end of 2023.
I have had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, with a wide range of presenting issues. I work extensively with trauma, including developmental, domestic abuse, addiction and with people going through the family court system.
My initial training was at the Minster Centre in London, where I was awarded an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling. I also hold a Diploma in Supervision from the Gestalt Centre in Brisbane. However, I remain deeply interested in all aspects of therapeutic work and have further training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for Trauma, Internal Family Systems, as well as somatic, mindfulness and self-compassion work.
I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), as well as the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and as such am bound by their codes of ethics and subject to their complaints procedures.
